Bike Riders
How many of
your club mates or riders you race with have had an enforced ride in an Air
Ambulance? Think about it - the answer may be more than you first imagine!
In Team
Midland we know of two riders who have, and reading Cycling Weekly it’s not
unusual to read about yet another rider being whisked of to hospital to be
checked out after a crash.
These
whirlybird crews really provide an invaluable service to us. This was clearly
demonstrated in April when Stephanie Smart was hit by a car and seriously
injured whilst en-route to a club event!
At times
like that you truly value the help provided by the experts. Thankfully they
were quickly on the scene and Steff was swiftly flown to
The
frightening thing is that this invaluable and overused service is not Government Funded! - These life saving Helicopters have to rely
on donations to keep flying!
TMR believe that it’s time to say thank
you. So we are organising a fund raising Time Trial on Sunday 19th
August. There aren’t any open events on in the region that day so you have no
excuses. TMR would like to invite you to join with us and ride our 15.5 mile
Time Trial on the K26-15. Give the

The event HQ will be
Meriden Village Hall where you can leave your car, get changed, have tea after
the event and bid for the Aston Villa Shirt.
Entry is on
the line at the start, with the first 50 riders getting to race. No prizes
- just the chance to say a very positive thank you to the guys who regularly
save lives and have provided help to fellow Bike Riders when they needed it.

your Racing Diary and whether you’re fit or not:-
