Riders Numbers and signing on at the Event HQ

 

Course Details

 

From event headquarters turn left along the Birmingham Rd (B4104) to the Meriden Island .Go straight across and at next island follow the B4104 towards the A45 .The start is approx 300yrds beyond the second Island.

 

PLEASE WARM UP ON THE B4104 BEFORE YOU REACH THE START AREA

 

K26-M Open Competition Course

 

Start  100 metres before disused gateway on B4104

Follow the B4104 to filter onto the A45 travelling west

Take the left filter onto Stone bridge Island  (note this turn is not marshalled)      (1mile)

Take the 1st exit onto the A452 and proceed to Hampton Island                                  (2miles)

(Hampton in Arden Island Is an Ideal Spectator Vantage point)

Take the 1st exit of the Hampton Island and travel up to Meriden Island                   (3miles)

(Meriden Island is an ideal Spectator Vantage point)

Encircle the Meriden Island and return to Hampton Island                                          (4.1miles)

At the Hampton Island take the 2nd Exit and travel along the A452

To the George in the Tree Island                                                                                       (7.10miles)

(The George in the Tree is an Ideal Spectator Vantage point) 

Circle the Island and return to the Hampton Island along the A452                           (9.7miles)

Take the 1st exit to finish in the Lay Bye                                                                           (10 miles)

 

Please take Note that when Riding to the Start and returning from the Finish you will be on the course for some time and other competitors will still be racing.

Please give extra consideration when riding up to Meriden (Mad Mile) after the event

 

Competitor Notes

There is adequate parking at the Event HQ or the Hotel car park across the road. Please avoid parking on the adjoining roads

Please be aware for us to run our sport we rely upon the good will and co-operation of the general public and the authorities

Course direction signs will be placed before each junction and marshals will be in place to advise the route  (look for the 3 red arrows and follow them)

It is your responsibility to study the course details and the course plan in the H Q

Traffic Warning signs will be placed around the course to warn other road users

 

Please be considerate and obey the MOT Traffic Regulations

 

In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and Team Midland Racing strongly advise you to wear a Hard Shell Helmet that meets an internationally accepted safety standard while competing in Time Trials.

 

 

 

Have a safe and enjoyable ride and please attend the prize presentation after the event in the event head quarters at 1100 hrs
